Thought of the week

Continuation from last week

The fourth characteristic which a leader or manager must have is direction and control of staff and volunteers.  It is not only important to have the right people in place, rather, more important is to ensure that they are all working together and under one command.  The scholars explain this as being the same as the body parts - if the person wanted to pick up a glass and made the intention however his hands went against what his brain decided to do, there would be mass confusion and nothing would ever get done!  Similarly, a director must ensure and either directly or indirectly monitor his/her staff that they all work for one aim and goal.

To be continued.
