Who would ever have dreamt or thought that right at the North Pole, Muslims and in particular, Shia brethren would be found !

But surely Allah Subhanahu Wa ta´ala has a purpose for  placing  his people up here. The history of this community does not differ very much from that of other Muslim communities in the western world.  However, in just two decades, we have not only increased  numerically from 2 to 200, but the scope of our activities   and   Lillah services have also increased and are being  rendered to the  Muslim Ummah from  the South to the North of  Sweden  covering some 1800 kms.  Märsta, within the greater Stockholm boundary, serves as a focal point for the local community and  together with other Shia  momeens we total to over 200 people.  Sweden has a total  population of  approximately 250,000 Muslims.
